Q: What is the first thing I should do before creating my pouch artwork?
A: Refer to correct template (dieline) for the pouch size you’re customizing, if you are not sure the type of bag and template you can contact us for help. we’d love to help you in artwork design
Q: Can I modify the template size or orientation?
A: Yes. if you want to modify the template size or orientation please contact us. We have professional design for help you (Just kindly advise me our size detials and type of bag and upload the logo design require PDF format or AI format)
Q: What is the side cut and why does it matter?
A: The side cut refers to the trimmed edge tolerance. Artwork on both sides should match/align; otherwise a portion may wrap onto the other side due to up to 0.125″ variation.
Q: Should my file be CMYK or RGB?
A: CMYK. If you submit RGB, pre‑press software will convert it—possibly causing visible color shifts.
Q: Can you color match Pantone or perform press checks?
A: Yes. To make sure the color match extactly. Before bluk production we would like to send you the sample to confirm, but most of our customer would like to check in video that we sent
Q: How do I approximate a Pantone color?
A: Use the Pantone Bridge (CMYK side) and choose from the CMYK column—this is the closest representation achievable.
Q: What black build should I use?
A: Use 100% K (pure black). Do NOT use rich black or registration black.
Q: How do I handle very light colors?
A: Ensure at least 20% ink coverage (e.g., a light gray should be ≥20% K). Below that, it may print too faint or be nearly invisible.
Q: How can I create a subtle background pattern that still prints?
A: Ensure at least a 20% tonal difference between the background and the pattern. Example: If background is 100% black, the pattern should be at most 80% K to be visible.
Q: Why did I receive a “low ink coverage” warning?
A: Your artwork contains elements under recommended ink thresholds (below ~20%), which may print too faintly.
Q: What are the main features shown on the template?
A: Safe Area, Tear Notch (for opening), Zipper (if reclosable), Hang Hole (round or euro style), and dieline/fold/trim indicators.
Q: Can I choose a hang hole style?
A: Yes, most pouches allow round or euro hole options—refer to the template.
Q: What software is recommended?
A: Adobe Illustrator (best for professional vector output).
Q: What if I’m not proficient in Illustrator?
A: The Polysmarts Packaging offers a file setup service (contact us [email protected] or fill as below the form we will contact you)
Q: Do I need to outline my text?
A: Yes. Convert all text to outlines to avoid font issues. (Illustrator: Select all text objects, then Type > Create Outlines.)
Q: Should I embed linked images?
A: Yes. Embed all placed images in Illustrator (Window > Links > select image > Embed).
Q: What image resolution is required?
A: 300 dpi for placed raster images. Lower resolutions trigger a warning on the proof.
Q: What about unused layers or printer marks?
A: Remove printer’s marks (crop, registration, color bars, dielines not meant to print) and delete/turn off unused layers before exporting.
